BHP WAIO Heritage Demarcation Project

Project Overview

MIB was engaged to establish 500 kms heritage demarcation fencing to protect areas of cultural significance including artifacts, structures, and features that hold historical indigenous value in and around BHP’s iron ore mines.

An all-Aboriginal team was engaged for this project, employing workers from communities in the Pilbara and the Kimberley. Some of the working crew expressed interest in upskilling and have now moved onto other long term civil construction projects within MIB.
